Our mission is to ensure that every child and family in our county receives the responsive and effective services they need. With a clear vision of a responsive, interconnected community where every family feels safe, we are dedicated to empowering local voices and championing solutions that work.

Our History

The roots of the Local Management Board are deeply intertwined with the work of the Governor’s Office for Children in Maryland. Our history reflects decades of progress, from our early days as a local initiative to a key component of the state’s child welfare and community support network. Over the years, our work has evolved to include robust monitoring of Maryland’s results and indicators, as well as strategic reviews under the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework.
