Who Are We?

The Queen Anne’s County Local Management Board is a dynamic coalition of community leaders, professionals, and citizens committed to coordinating community-driven decision-making. Our mission is to ensure that every child and family in our county receives the responsive and effective services they need. With a clear vision of a responsive, interconnected community where every family feels safe, we are dedicated to empowering local voices and championing solutions that work.

What We Do

Every decision we make is grounded in the belief that community input is essential to effective service delivery. We focus on collaborative problem-solving, data-driven planning, and proactive engagement. Our work includes reviewing local statistics, identifying emerging needs, and developing programs that address challenges head-on. Through these efforts, we ensure that the voices of children, families, and community leaders are always at the forefront.

Our History

The roots of the Local Management Board are deeply intertwined with the work of the Governor’s Office for Children in Maryland. Our history reflects decades of progress, from our early days as a local initiative to a key component of the state’s child welfare and community support network. Over the years, our work has evolved to include robust monitoring of Maryland’s results and indicators, as well as strategic reviews under the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework. You can read more about our journey and the milestones that have shaped our mission on the Maryland GOC website.

Our Impact

Our impact is best measured through the success stories, research, and reports that document how our work improves lives across the county. We regularly publish studies, research papers, and evaluations that provide insights into the effectiveness of our initiatives. These documents not only highlight our achievements but also help guide future strategies, ensuring that our community remains safe, healthy, and supported.
